Foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my professor and advisor Dr. Miles M. Hamby for the continuous support of this project, for his motivation, enthusiasm, and immense knowledge.
The idea for this project was inspired by my father Aleksandr Yakymenko, who I tragically lost to cancer exactly in 2011. Besides that he was an amazing person, caring husband, and loving Dad, he was a great businessman. He built, managed and dedicated more than 20 years of his life to his privately owned furniture manufacturer. He had a great passion to his business and he was good at running it. The sales were based on the old fashioned brick and mortar system. In 2009 I started getting involved with web design and e-commerce technologies. Then I told my father that I had a dream to become very high skilled in web and e-commerce industries, because I could build him such a powerful website that his business could be recognized and successful nationwide and beyond. It was a good dream. Today, this project represents a little piece of that dream coming true. If my father was alive I would offer him this project as a good path of expansion to his life’s business.
I would like to dedicate this project in the loving memory of my father Aleksandr. Thank you.
